15th Anniversary of Game of Thrones!

Good morning! Today we are looking into the iconic TV series, Game of Thrones on it’s 15th anniversary! I was even lucky enough to ask a couple of questions to Ellie Kendrick who played Meera Reed on the show!

The rise of “Game of Thrones” began with an ambition to turn George R.R. Martin’s richly layered novels into a cinematic television experience. With each season, the team expanded its technical scope, crafting sequences that set new expectations for television craftsmanship.

Premiering in 2011, the series quickly earned acclaim for its storytelling, performances, and worldbuilding. Its audience grew season after season, transforming it into an international cultural phenomenon. Despite debates surrounding the later episodes, “Game of Thrones” left a significant mark on television, influencing future high-budget series and elevating the role of ensemble casts like Kendrick’s in long-form storytelling.
